On Seven Seas Grandeur, Regent is aiming to fight sister line Oceania's claim for top marks among foodies. The ship will have four restaurants and debut a new version of Compass Rose, the ship's main dining room. Expect eye-catching sculptures, plenty of crystal and a menu that focuses on the most extravagant ingredients. This class of Carnival ship also has themed neighborhoods; expect Jubilee to have at least one that is different from its siblings.

Throughout the rest of this flashy ship, expect more than 40 dining and entertainment venues, split across 20 decks and eight neighborhoods. New dining venues include Royal Caribbean’s first food hall and the ultra-fancy Empire Supper Club, with its eight-course menu. Viking's ocean ships have been reliably similar since the company started launching them in 2015. Viking Vela will break that mold when it arrives, as it will be slightly larger and carry 998 passengers.

Silver Ray accommodates up to 728 passengers and will sail along Italy’s coastline. Ports include stops in Croatia and Montenegro, before spending the rest of its inaugural season exploring the Mediterranean.

Regent is the cruising equivalent of the hotel world's Four Seasons chain — a brand promising beautiful accommodations, refined food and pampering service. Like Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady has been designed to shake up the cruise industry with a new, hipper style of cruising. The ship will have everything from a tattoo parlor to a colorful karaoke lounge where you can get your Lizzo on. To ensure a proper party vibe, it also will be a kid-free travel zone, with a minimum age to sail of 18. Vista will also be the first Oceania vessel with built-from-scratch solo cabins — six in all. They'll measure 270 square feet and feature their own balconies, something that is relatively rare for solo cabins on ocean ships.

Reflecting its name will be a “feel-good” ambiance onboard, with a focus on spa and wellness, and spacious outdoor areas with terraced seating and an infinity pool. A variety of dining experiences will include Asian, steakhouse, Greek, French, and Alpine cuisine. What’s exciting about Viking Mississippi is that the ship will have many of the onboard features that people already love on other Viking vessels. There will be a two-story Explorers’ Lounge observation area; the Aquavit Terrace outdoor dining venue; an infinity pool and sun deck. There’s also a new outdoor seating area known as The Bow, which promises excellent views of the river.

Another area that will be bigger on Celebrity Ascent than on the first two Edge-class ships is the three-deck-high Grand Plaza. As is always the case for Cunard vessels, Queen Anne will have a soaring Grand Lobby with a cascading staircase where you can take selfies in your formal night splendor. That staple of all Cunard ships, the ballroom known as the Queens Room, is also making a comeback. Note that Icon of the Seas is just the first of three sister ships Royal Caribbean has on order for delivery by 2026, all of similar dimensions. Many of these cabin categories are family-friendly rooms that sleep four guests; some can accommodate six or eight guests.
